What are Chemical peels?
Chemical peels improve skin texture and firmness, decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. Peels also even out skin tone, reduce pigmentation, improve acne-prone skin and reduce pore size appearance. They can also thicken the epidermis, increase dermal volume and stimulate collagen. They are classified as superficial, medium or deep, depending on the depth of penetration of the ingredients used.The strength of a chemical peel is determined by the type of ingredients used, their concentrations and the pH of the formulation.
Will AlumierMD Chemical peels cause unsightly redness and peeling?
Post-treatment peeling is often similar to peeling after a tan. In some cases, exfoliation occurs on a cellular level and is not apparent to the naked eye. The exfoliation you will experience varies depending on skin profile. AlumierMD chemical peels are light- to medium depth, and are formulated to reduce irritation and redness.
Types of Peels
Glow Peel
A light brightening resurfacing solution that improves ANY skin concerns with minimal down time. Lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol create a multipurpose resurfacing solution to minimise fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmenttion, discolouration and uneven skin tone. The formula exfoliates and stimulates cell renewal.
Radiant Peel
Radiant 30 is great for combatting signs of ageing by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, discolouration, sun damage and large pores creating a more radiant complexion.
Radiant 20/10 is for oily and congested skins. A multipurpose resurfacing peel that reduces acne pimples as well as minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, large pores, hyperpigmentation and sun damage.
Vitamin A boost - Ageing and Hyperpigmentation
A pure retinol and lactic acid resurfacing treatment which reduces the appearance of lines, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation by boosting collagen production and speeding cell turnover, creating a more radiant and even toned complexion ideal for mature or sun damaged skin.
Detox clear - Acne and congestion
Detox Clear contains salicylic acid and lactic acid for excellent pore penetration and exfoliation. Together, they work to smooth skin, minimize pore size appearance, reduce acne and prevent new pimples from forming.
Deep Moisture Treatment Mask
An intensly hydrating mask ideal for dry, sensitive and irritated skin. Sodium Hyaluronate and Vit B5 lock in moisture, whilst Arnica and Shea Butter soothe and calm the skin. Resulting in hydrated, plump and glowing skin.
Enzyme Retexturing Treatment Mask
Fruit Enzymes including pineapple, apple, papaya and citrus, exfoliate the dead skin cells and promote skin renewal, minimising lines and wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Honey soothes, Soybean oil moisturises and glycerin maintains hydration.
Refining Clay Mask
A soothing and decongesting mask ideal for normal to oily skins. Bereclay, lactic acid and fruit & protein enzymes exfoliate and draw out impurities, while Canadian Willow herb, aloe and green tea soothe and protect.
Aqua infusion mask
A clear, oil-free, lightweight mask that provides anti-aging moisture by naturally increasing the skin's ability to retain moisture with a blend of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and natural moisturizing factors (NMFs). Sea whip and other plant extracts soothe irritation and improve skin barrier function.

Following a consultation with your AlumierMD skin professional, we will recommend the most beneficial combination of the above treatments for your skin on the day. The amount of layers you may have is dependant on your skin on the day of your treatment and would be discussed at each appointment. We will also discuss your home routine as pre-treatment products pre-condition the skin, accelerate results and minimise complication. Post-treatment products minimise complications, heal and soothe the skin then maintain the results. It is important to remember that professional chemical peel treatments enhance the results of home care products.
